Top 5 Logo Makers To Create A Business Logo

What’s the most memorable part of your business?

While you might be tempted to say “customer service” or something along those lines, it’s actually your logo that stands out most to your customers. Or at least that’s the whole idea behind having a logo for your business.

A great logo does more than just tell people that your business exists. It also captivates and motivates people into patronizing your business. Visual content represents a set of values, and your logo tells a story of why your brand exists, what it stands for and what your audience can expect. Great logos can even become part of the broader cultural consciousness. Think “Coca-Cola” and “Nike,” for instance.

Having a logo is so essential that there are few, if any businesses, that can get away with not having one. In fact, your customers expect you to have a logo.

Creating a stunning and memorable logo isn’t as hard as you’d imagine. With today’s AI-driven logo makers, crafting a business logo takes only a matter of minutes with no skills or expensive software required. Today, we’ll take a close look at the top five logo makers, including what makes each one stand out from the rest.

1) Tailor Brands Logo Maker

Tailor Brands

Tailor Brands is a pretty big deal in the DIY logo maker space. The service has been around since 2014 and it continues to this day as an established, high-quality player.

In addition to offering its logo creator, Tailor Brands also provides a dizzying array of branding services, from a surprisingly comprehensive website builder to domain names and LLC business registration.

One thing to love about Tailor Brands is how easy the interface makes it to quickly create a logo. You start out with your business name, an optional tagline, and a few other details about your business, including the type of industry it’s in. Next, you’ll get to choose between a name-based, icon-based or initial-based logo. From there, you can select your font styles, icon shapes, and much more.

The logo editor, on the other hand, is pretty barebones for a logo maker. You’re only able to choose from a limited selection of styles and fonts, but at least you can adjust the name letter spacing, initials sizing and color. Everything else is locked in whether you like it or not.

In contrast to most logo makers, Tailor Brands offers its services via subscription packages, starting at $9.99/month for a basic package. The $19.99/month standard package adds a full website builder, business cards and more, while the $49.99/month premium package lets you design up to 5 logos and create an online store. Fortunately, you can cancel at any point and still keep your logos.

2) Free Logo Design

Free Logo Design

FreeLogoDesign is another well-known name when it comes to business logos. The company stands out thanks to its powerful HTML5-based logo creation tools, which make it easier and quicker to fashion a memorable logo from the company’s extensive template catalog.

At the start, you’ll get the option of creating your own logo or working with a professional designer for a relatively low fee. Choosing the former takes you to the logo creator, where you’ll find a broad range of template-based designs to pick from. Fortunately, the logo editor offers near-endless customization options, including a comprehensive path editing feature that lets you play around with the premade shapes.

Once you’re done, you can download your logo for free as a 200×200-pixel low-resolution image or purchase a high-resolution version for $40.95. There’s also a premium option that unlocks a slew of brand-building features, from business cards to brand guidelines and social media tools. The premium feature also lets you edit your logo an unlimited number of times after purchase.

Free Logo Design’s paid offerings aren’t the cheapest out there, but the logo creation and editing tools do make up for the cost.

3) Namecheap Logo Maker

Namecheap

You might have heard of Namecheap if you’ve ever shopped around for a domain name or web hosting service. What you might not know is that the company also has its own logo maker. It shouldn’t be surprising that Namecheap has its own logo maker, but it’s an overlooked feature that’s definitely worth checking out. Oh, and did we mention it’s also free?

All you have to do is type in your company name and click “Create Free Logo.” From there, you can pick up to six typeface styles, choose your colors and choose up to three icons. You can even add your company slogan if you want.

The logo maker will then generate dozens of potential logo designs to choose from. Take your pick and you can further tweak your design using the convenient drop-down boxes or download your logo using the prompts found below. Your logo comes in a .zip file with an assortment of SVG files to choose from.

When Namecheap says their logo maker is free to use, they actually mean it. That makes Namecheap a great resource if you’re working on a tight budget and need a quick and dirt-cheap way to create a business logo. The logo editing options aren’t anything to write home about, but the actual logo creation process is as fast and painless as it gets.

If you still want to spend money on something, Namecheap also features a business card builder you can use in conjunction with the logo creator. Costs for this feature range from $8.88 for PDF proofs to $88.88 for 1,000 cards.

4) Brandcrowd Logo Maker

Brandcrowd

Brandcrowd is another option to consider if you need a business logo in a hurry. Despite not being an AI-driven solution, the company still offers a huge library of icons and fonts, all curated using robust filters and customization options.

Brandcrowd’s logo creation process is similar to many others in the arena. Just add your company name and a few keywords describing your business. This is important as the logo creation process is keyword-driven. The more keywords you use, the narrower your search gets.

From there, you can choose whether you want to see icon and text logos, text logos only, or browse through Brandcrowd’s comprehensive selection on your own. It only takes seconds to generate your logo and you can refine your choice even further by font style, logo style, and color.

Brandcrowd’s logo editor is nowhere near as powerful as Free Logo Design’s despite sharing a rather similar layout. Nevertheless, it gets the job done and offers a variety of color, shape, layout, and background options.

Like Tailor Brands, BrandCrowd also offers monthly subscription-based logo creation, with plans starting at $15/month. Luckily, you’ll get plenty of bang for your buck with loads of high-resolution files, unlimited downloads and edits, and access to a plethora of social media and business card templates. Upgrading to the $24.95/month subscription lets you create a mobile-friendly website to go with your logo.

5)  Logogenie

Logogenie

Last but not least is Logogenie, yet another template-based logo maker option to consider. Like Brandcrowd, Logogenie’s logo creation tool is also keyword-driven. Fortunately, you’ll only need one or two to find a suitable logo template. Unfortunately, the template selections all seem rather generic, which makes it more difficult to find anything that truly stands out.

At least the drag-and-drop logo editing tools are a bit more flexible. You can easily change text size and type, manipulate icon shapes and change colors. You can even add additional shapes and adjust those as you please. The interface itself is remarkably clean and easy for novices to follow.

Logogenie lets you jump right in and design your logo without giving up your email address and other details. It’s a nice touch that other logo makers would do their best to emulate.

You can download your new logo in a variety of high-resolution and vector file formats, but you’ll pay $64.90 for the privilege. There are no free downloads, but you do get unlimited modifications. There’s an available option that gives you exclusive rights to your logo design, but it’s $120 extra.

Whether you have zero graphic design experience or simply don’t have the time to create a logo from scratch, the above options are the way to go. Of course, our list of logo makers is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to logo design.

Just keep in mind that these tools still pale in comparison to a skilled graphic designer’s work. But if a quick and hassle-free experience is what you’re looking for, then a logo maker offers just that and much more.
