TikTok is now trying to improve the experience of users on larger devices. So, it has come up with an improved experience for users on tablets and other foldable devices. TikTok has launched a new upgrade of the platform’s UI and presentation on bigger screens. To put it simply, the application will now have a reformat to become more suitable for larger screens.
In this context, TikTok says,
“People can now watch their favorite videos on larger screens and experience a clear video feed, streamlined navigation bars, and orientation support that will take their TikTok journey to the next level. As part of this experience, we are looking to continue experimenting with features like Topic Feeds, which allows people to explore videos across categories like Gaming, Food, Fashion, and Sports.”
Further, according to TikTok, the key features of the upgrade comprise the following.
We all know that TikTok has many creators, and they are truly diverse in terms of their backgrounds and the type of content they create. With the new upgrade of UI and presentation, the content creators of the TikTok platform will now be able to offer users a more inclusive and immersive experience. And TikTok assures that the platform “will continue investing in creating a great experience for our community.”
Along with the reformatting of the user experience for bigger screens, TikTok has now also introduced some discovery elements that are topic-based. This new feature will help users to find content easily on the application using larger screens. Further, the updated version of the App on tablets will have an improved video feed. In addition, the users will experience ease of navigation while accessing the app and videos on a bigger screen.
