YouTube Takes A Step Ahead In Generative AI: Tests Its Own In-Stream Chatbot

YouTube is taking a big leap into generative AI by testing various elements, including its own in-stream Chatbot. Thus, YouTube wants to redefine the way the viewers engage with the platform.

YouTube has conducted a “new test of topic summaries for its comments.” It is aimed to provide viewers with a unique way to engage with the platform more on various topics. Further, YouTube is going to have its own conversational AI tool.

This conversational AI tool will allow you to ask different questions about the videos you watch on the platform.

Further, on comment summaries, the creators will be able to garner more context or insight into the interests of the viewers. Thus, they will be able to boost the conversation around every clip they share on this platform.

In addition, thanks to the comment summaries, there will be sub-discussions within the comment stream. As a result, the creators will get to know what their viewers think about the specific elements in the video. About the AI comment summaries, YouTube says,

“To help you easily understand and participate in comment conversations, we’re experimenting with AI that organizes large comment sections of long-form videos into easily digestible themes.

If you’re part of this experiment, when you open the comment section on mobile, you’ll see a new option to sort by ✨Topics on some videos.

Creators can use these comment summaries to more quickly jump into comment discussions on their videos, or to draw inspiration for new content based on what their audiences are discussing.”

Further, the AI conversational tool will be especially beneficial when you are watching academic videos. Thanks to the AI tool, these videos will now come up with responses and quizzes. These will help a student or someone watching an academic video to have a better understanding of a specific topic.
