ho hasn’t heard of Facebook? We all have. It is surely one of the biggest social media platforms in the world, with 3.06 billion active users monthly.
Facebook started its journey in 2004. Ever since its inception, Facebook has managed to win everyone’s hearts. People have loved it throughout.
People have come much closer to each other. They can share their updates on Facebook and look for others they want to, whether it’s their friends, relatives, close ones, or even celebrities. They can follow each other, know what is going around, and talk to them.
Facebook has changed its working procedure over time. It is no longer just an entertaining or chatting platform. It has spread its wings beyond that. People can follow up on trending news, share online content, stay updated with the world, learn new things from tutorials, show support towards something unitedly, and even raise their voices against something.
People are not limited to their location, knowledge, reach, and opportunities; they have gone beyond that. Now, Facebook has become one of the most useful tools for businesses. Businessmen, mid-level to giant companies, entrepreneurs, everybody is using this platform to gain the best for their businesses.
Facebook has increased the reach for brands, and more people can know about the products or services now. Audience interaction has gotten much better, and this further stimulates brand building. The opportunities on Facebook are enormous.
But to get noticed among all of them, you must ensure that your account or Facebook posts are reachable to everyone. When it’s limited to a certain audience, it’s not worthy. To get the best result out of Facebook, you must make your business visible to everyone.
If you are going through the helpful Facebook hacks and reaching out to a lot of people through your post, you not only have to know how to make a post sharable but also what different visibility settings mean.
These settings affect who can see the post you are sharing and share it further with their friends. Here are the options that are available on Facebook and what they mean.
When you choose this option, you allow everyone, people who have an account on Facebook and who do not, to view and share the post further.
If you choose this option, people who are friends with you on Facebook will only be able to view the post and share it. Remember that when you tag someone on a post, their friends can see the post as well. Even if they are not on your friends list, they can see it.
And to stop them from seeing that post, you have to adjust the visibility settings. Click on the box beneath your name, then select “custom” options and uncheck the box that says “friends of those tagged,” and you will be done.
When you select the “friends except” option, you can hide the post from certain people you do not want to see your post. The rest of the people from your friend list will be able to see the post except for the few you have selected.
With this option, only people you select from your friend list will be able to see the post. From the list, you can select the people and will only be able to see what you share.
The “custom” option allows you to specifically show the post or hide the post from people. It is a lot like the “friends except” or the “specific friends” feature. However, there is one exception.
You do not get any shortcut to create a specific list of friends that you would choose not to share or share the post every time. This feature is helpful if you post with networks or groups you are a part of. You can also choose this when you want to hide some sensitive posts from a few friends.
With this option, any post you share will only be visible to you, and not even people from your friend list will be able to see it.
Have you ever noticed that you might have come across some posts on Facebook that you liked, so you wanted to share them, but you couldn’t? Or maybe sometimes your friends will tell you that they wanted to share your posts, but they couldn’t. This often happens to us. We don’t find any share button below the posts.
