X is Going To Have A News Wire Service: It Will Be Provisionally Called XWire

X founder Elon Musk and CEO Linda Yaccarino announced that X is going to have a news wire service. Provisionally, the platform will be named as XWire. The upcoming platform will be launched, considering PR Newswire as the primary competitor.

This announcement from Musk and Yaccarino came on 26 October 2023. The day marked the first anniversary of Musk’s takeover of the social media platform. And the matter of the launch of the news wire service came in the presence of staff of the company.

There were also discussions regarding how the platform is being perceived and has the potential of becoming a streaming and recruitment platform. In every way, it can be a big player in the same field as YouTube and LinkedIn.

The work toward becoming a recruitment platform is picking up the speed. The beta version of the service was already launched in July, and it was called XHiring. The account description of XHiring says that companies can use it to “feature critical roles on their profile and organically reach millions of relevant candidates.”

All these advancements take us back to what Musk said about the Twitter platform while taking it over in July. He said that he wanted to build the platform for “comprehensive communications and the ability to conduct your entire financial world.”

So, overall, the platform is making progress toward becoming an everything app. Put simply, the app will integrate various services and operate as a mini-internet for all its users. This will help the platform to make the optimum utilization of its customer base and services for monetization.

However, the success of the platform will be a test of time. Studies and market analysis have always shown that users in the USA and UK have a proclivity toward using a single app for a single service.
